Please Give Me Attention
Two ways to reach a person: open an issue, which is public and gets the fastest answer, or email timfall+github@gmail.com if you'd rather not post in public. Either way, include what you expected to happen and what happened instead.
Never post an invite link. It carries the key to your pairing, so anyone who reads it can join. If pairing is the problem, describe what you saw instead.
If something is misbehaving, Settings → Export diagnostics produces a short technical summary that makes most problems obvious. It shows you the whole thing before you send it, and it contains no names, messages or emoji.
The app needs camera access to read the pairing code. If you declined it, the scan screen says so and offers an Open Settings button. You can also skip the camera entirely: have your partner share their invite link, copy it, and tap Got an invite link? Paste it.
Pairing completes in two halves, and the second one finishes in the background moments after the scan. If the app says it is finishing setup, give it a moment with both devices unlocked and connected. Both devices also need to be signed in to iCloud.
The update that flips it arrives as a silent notification, which iOS can delay when a device is in Low Power Mode or the app was force-quit. Opening the app refreshes it immediately.
Check that notifications are allowed for the app in iOS Settings. Focus and Do Not Disturb are handled by the Time-sensitive alerts switch in the app's own Settings; with it off, alerts are held like any other notification.
It shouldn't be — history is kept on your device precisely so it survives a pairing ending. When you have no active pairing, it moves to Settings → History.
Settings → Erase all my data removes your iCloud records, your local history, your settings and your pairing key. It cannot be undone. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what it covers.
